IP7 Compass is a Windows Client based on Microsoft’s Click Once Technology.
This way the application is running in a so-called “Sandbox” and is running in a protected area.
Access to the user’s PC is only possible with the “Open” or “Save” dialogue.

Windows-Client Download/Installation

System requirements

  • Windows 7 or newer
  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7 or newer
  • MS-Office 2013 or newer
  • 100 MB free hard disk space
  • 4 GB RAM or more


In order to download the software and for updates, access to the following server must be permitted:

In order to use the IP7 patent database, access to the following servers must be permitted:

In order to use the web application, access to the following servers must be permitted:
