Every Compass user has one of the 2 licenses:
- Advanced - all features available - suitable for patent professionals
- Light - limited features - suitable for R&D
Users with administrator rights are able to manage users and therefore set the licenses.
The following features are only available for users with Advanced license:
(users with light license are not or not by default able to access these features)
- Graphical analyses
- Manage result lists
- Family chart
- Change the basis of a result list
- Create/manage Ad-hoc tasks
- Word Export
- Kind of document search
- Search for result lists
- Manual applicant grouping
- Observation (family and legal status monitoring)
- Create/manage automatic searches
- Advanced search criteria (e.g. search for opposition filed)
- Search for indirect citations
- Citation tree
- XML-Export
- Term Hunter (a feature within the Key Terms)
- AI within the detail view
