Search results or the contents of folders can be exported to XML.<br/>
It is possible to export the whole result by selecting "Whole result".<br/>
Or [[DE:Ergebnisliste#Treffer_ausw.C3.A4hlen|selected]] patents via the option "Selection".<br/>
Here the same data as in the [[EN:Excel-Export|Excel-Export]] can be selected for the XML-Export.<br/>

The XML-Export is especially suitable for exporting particularly large result lists. <br/>
The structure of exported XML-data follows the [https://www.wipo.int/export/sites/www/standards/en/pdf/03-36-01.pdf WIPO-Standard ST.36].<br/>

This standard was selected in order to easily facilitate the import of XML-data to other tools (e.g. patent administration software).
